1. Accessibility requirements and applicable criteria
The requirements for digital accessibility are specified in Legislative Decree no. 82 of 27 May 2022, “Implementation of Directive (EU) 2019/882 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 17 April 2019 on the accessibility requirements for products and services”, which for technical aspects refers to standard UNI EN 301549.
Specifically, the site's compliance must be assessed against the criteria specified in chapters 9 “Web” and 10 “Non-web content”, which refer to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level A+AA.
The four fundamental principles of digital accessibility, stipulated in the WCAG 2.1 are:
● Perceivable - Content is presented in a clear and understandable way.
● Operable - The interface is easy for all users to navigate.
● Understandable - Information and operations are intuitive and easy to interpret.
● Robust - The site is compatible with the most common assistive technologies.
Based on the aforementioned UNI EN 301549 standard, which clearly lists the 50 success criteria to consider when assessing site accessibility, technical analyses were conducted on the site's content, which includes both textual and non-textual information, downloadable documents and forms, and forms involving two-way interaction, such as the processing of digital forms and the completion of authentication, identification and payment processes.
Areas excluded from application
Article 1, paragraph 5 of Legislative Decree no. 82/2022 states that the provisions of the decree do not apply to the following site content and to mobile applications:
● time-based media pre-recorded and published before 28 June 2025;
● office file formats published before 28 June 2025;
● online maps and cartography services, where essential information for maps intended for navigation is provided in accessible digital form;
● third-party content that is neither financed nor developed by the economic operator concerned nor subject to its control;
● site and mobile application content considered archived in the sense that it contains only content that has not been updated or reworked after 28 June 2025.

4. Fulfilling accessibility requirements
PhotoSì S.p.A. Unipersonale appointed a third-party digital accessibility expert to perform a technical inspection of the compliance of the site covered by this information document. Following this, a report was provided regarding corrections and improvements needed to achieve compliance.
Features considered for site accessibility that are available to users include, but are not limited [to], the following:
● Compatibility with assistive technologies (e.g., NVDA, Jaws)
● Navigation using the keyboard
● Appropriate colour contrasts
● Text alternatives for graphic and multimedia content
● Zooming and resizing fonts
● Subtitles for multimedia content and text transcriptions
● Controlled animations and reduced non-essential movements
● Clearly labelled forms and input fields for easy interaction
Site content accessibility for users using assistive technologies, such as screen readers, alternative keyboards or voice commands, is also supported by the presence of ARIA [Accessible Rich Internet Applications] attributes. These are useful for describing the role, status and properties of user interface elements, for communicating dynamic interactions (e.g., expandable menus, modal dialogs, sliders) to screen readers and for supporting keyboard navigation in complex components.
To further improve accessibility and the user experience, a widget (UserWay PRO) has been integrated into the site. Use of this by site users is completely free and allows for improving the site's compliance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1).
UserWay PRO provides multiple features to improve site accessibility and user experience, through a dedicated panel that can be viewed by clicking on the widget icon or via the Ctrl+U keyboard shortcut, as listed below.
● Dictionary: Allows access for consulting a dictionary without having to leave the site. Essential for those with cognitive disabilities, for those who are non-native English speakers and so on.
● Larger text: Allows for an increase in the size of the text on the screen by offering four different levels of enlargement, making every part of the site instantly more readable.
● Saturation: Sets the colour intensity of a site to high, low, or greyscale.
● Contrast: Inverts the colours of a site or allows for switching between light and dark contrast modes.
● Smart contrast: Ensures all colours on the site are fully ADA compliant, ensuring greater visibility of content.
● Highlighted links: Makes links, buttons and other interactive, clickable elements stand out with light, high-contrast colours, making them easier to identify and improving site usability, navigation and overall accessibility.
● Stop animations: Pauses content that moves or updates automatically and that is considered an accessibility barrier; interrupts animations and flashing content that are distracting and can provoke seizures in at-risk individuals.
● Text spacing: Adjusts text and line spacing to improve readability for dyslexic and visually impaired users, offering three degrees of adjustment for a personalised and more accessible reading experience.
● Line spacing: Increases the height of lines to ensure more comfortable spacing for all text.
● Text alignment: Aligns the site's text to the left, right, or centre to allow for a personalised, more accessible reading experience.
● Dyslexia-friendly font: The “UserWay Dyslexia Friendly” font improves readability and provides a simpler, smoother reading experience for users affected by dyslexia.
● Large cursor: Increases the standard cursor size by 400% so that the pointer is always in view. Enables faster and more accessible navigation through hyperlinks, tabs and form elements.
● Tips: Shows alt text and ARIA labels for items on the screen when hovering over it with the mouse. The tips are prominent, high-contrast, and easy to read for visually impaired users with accessibility needs.
● Page structure: Quickly reveals page titles, points of reference and links in a clear, structured, easily navigable and accessible way. Helps both disabled users and those who are not disabled find the content they need faster.
In addition to the features that users can activate from the accessibility menu, the UserWay PRO widget can detect numerous non-conformities on the site and make the necessary corrections in real time, modifying only what the browser displays on the monitor rather than the source code. This makes the site more usable by all end users, including those using assistive technologies.
Compliance status
The guidelines and checklist for evaluation prepared by AgID [Agency for Digital Italy] were used to define the site's compliance status. The technical review performed by an expert accessibility consultant has resulted in the following status, in reference to the date of writing or updating this information document.
This site is partially compliant with the requirements set out in Appendix A of the UNI CEI EN 301549 standard in view of the cases of non-compliance listed below:
● Some web pages do not comply with some requirements set out in chapter 9 “Web” of standard UNI CEI EN 301549.
In particular:
● Some visual information is not structured correctly in the code (such as lists or headings), which can compromise navigation using assistive technologies and the interpretation of the content hierarchy;
● Some content lacks unique attributes, making it difficult for blind users or those with reduced mobility using assistive technologies to interact with the page;
● Some non-text content does not have text alternatives that describe the content;
● Some textual information lacks semantic markup, making it difficult for screen readers to identify its semantic weight and use appropriate intonation;
● Some video elements lack content management controls, risking interference with screen readers or confusion for the user. Additionally, some video content does not have a transcript or audio description;
● In some cases, the links provided do not clearly indicate their destination or purpose;
● Some content cannot be used via a keyboard, and an absence of visual cues was also detected for keyboard focus in some sections, which can make it difficult to understand where users are when navigating without a mouse;
● Some frames and page components do not provide sufficient information about their role or content, limiting usability for those using assistive technologies.
Moreover, this accessibility information document considers the non-conformities corrected by the UserWay PRO widget to have been resolved, as the changes made by this satisfy the success criteria set by the current legislation.
5. Accessibility monitoring process
PhotoSì S.p.A. Unipersonale has paid particular attention to the service provision process in order for it to be able to meet the requirements set by digital accessibility regulations, whilst making use of the support of external consultants for the following activities:

Unipersonale intends to consider periodically carrying out technical checks to monitor the site’s accessibility over time, including any possible contribution of external digital accessibility specialists, in order to make any improvements that may arise, including as a result of user suggestions.
Technical checks are conducted by an external accessibility specialist consultant, who uses technological tools that are always up to date with regard to current regulations for the re-examination of compliance in various ways: with semi-automatic code checks, through manual user tests, and with the aid of assistive technologies.
